Basic CMYKI tend to be more of a snacker than the type of person who eats big meals – I think that’s probably true of a lot of moms who work at home or stay at home with the kids.

Being gluten free makes snacking more of a challenge because I really have to pay attention to labels to make sure I’m not going to accidentally glutenize myself. For me, being dairy, soy and egg white free makes that even more of a challenge, so I’m always on the hunt for new snacks that are easy to grab.

Simply 7 recently sent me a case of their lentil, hummus and pomegranate chips to try out with my family.

Whenever we get new snacks to try, the girls want to open every bag right away, so it can be quite chaotic as I try to make sure only one bag gets opened at a time!

While all of the Simply 7 snacks are gluten free, they aren’t all dairy free so I did have to be careful in which ones I sampled. I really liked the lentil and hummus chips, but the pomegranate chips were too sweet for me. Zoë liked them though! The jalapeno and spicy chili flavors were my favorite – the spicy ones always tend to be!

I appreciate that they are non-GMO (they don’t carry the certified seal though) and have no artificial colors, flavors, additives or preservatives as well. I try to avoid those things in the commercially packaged snacks that we do buy.

If you’re looking for a unique chip experience, check out Simply 7. Use their store locator to see if they are sold near you. You can also follow them on Facebook.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I absolutely loved the lentil chips! They were my favorite. The kids loved just about all the other kinds and most of the flavors. The chocolate pomegranate chips were kind of different too. I did not really care too much for those.

We didn’t sample the chocolate pomegranate chips – that does sound interesting!
