Cooking breakfast for your family… getting your kids dressed for school… rushing out the door to work… no doubt the lives of working moms are the busiest. Wondering how to find those 5-10 minutes and optimize them? Continue reading below…
Organize yourself with a proper make-up box. Fill it with all the products you will need in the morning. This will help you save time as you can quickly grab everything you need from one place.
Prepare your base
Start off with a clean and clear face. Just wash your face with a mild, natural cleanser. Spritz your face lightly with a good natural toner, then quickly apply a bit of eye cream and moisturizer.
Apply foundation or a tinted moisturizer
A foundation or tinted moisturizer evens out your skin and conceals all your dark spots and marks. If you choose a matte foundation, it can help you save time that you might otherwise spend applying powder all over your neck and face. Or if you prefer a dewey look, a tinted moisturizer is often a good option. Pick the foundation that is closest to the color of your skin near your jaw line.
Accentuate your eyes
A woman’s eye tells a thousand stories. After a hectic day or a long night, it is natural for your eyes to feel (and look) tired. That’s why using a good, natural eye cream after your toner is important. No matter how busy you are, please try to sneak some time in to get your eyebrows cleaned up and shaped. If you need it, use a concealer that is one and half shades lighter than your skin tone, to brighten up your eyes (do this right after applying your foundation). If you still don’t look as fresh as you’d like, then use soft-white eye shadow on the inside corner of your eyes. Finally, don’t forget to use a little mascara to highlight your eyelashes.
Get a blushing glow
Give your face a little color and highlight your cheekbones to give you a rosy glow. Pick a blush that is one or two tones darker than your skin tone. One quick tip: consider buying multi-purpose products to save on time, like a product that can be used both as lipstick and blush.
Being a busy mom doesn’t mean that you can’t take a few minutes for yourself each morning to pull together a fresh, clean look. Instead, take on the challenge of stunning people at your skills of efficiently managing work, home and beauty… all at once.
