logic-product-group-logoWe are fortunate and have not had to deal with lice yet. I remember having it as a child and it was miserable. The chemicals smelled awful and it was horrible to have sit their while our mom combed through our hair.

While I hope my girls never get lice, I’m happy that there are companies that are offering natural lice treatment and prevention products. We recently had the opportunity to try the LiceLogic Repel line from Logic Product group.

This line has been independently tested and shown to be 99% effective. It was also the Winner of the 2011 National Parenting Center Seal of Approval

It’s available in 3 scents: Lavender, Rosemary Mint and Lemongrass. Since both girls like Lavender, we went with that one.

licelogicSince they have sensitive skin, I wanted to test it on myself before trying it on them. It didn’t give me any sort of reaction, and my hair was left soft and smooth, so I tried it on the girls.

Kaylee smelled it and said, “Yummy!” There is no chemical smell at all since it’s a non-toxic product – just the light smell of lavender.

Both of the girls received it well and neither one had a reaction. Both of their hair was clean, smooth and fresh smelling after the Repel Shampoo and Conditioner. We always use a detangling spray since they both have fine hair and I really liked the Repel Leave In Conditioning Spray.

If you have school-aged children and there is a lice outbreak, I recommend using the LiceLogic Repel line to keep them protected.

With summer coming up, many kids will be going away to camp. It’s another great time to use these natural lice prevention products to keep them safe from lice! I remember in Girl Scouts, one of my friends almost wasn’t allowed to stay at camp because of lice. You don’t want that happening to your kiddos!

And you can feel safe using the LiceLogic line since it contains no toxic chemicals, no pesticides, no synthetic fragrances, no synthetic colors, no harmful fumes and no animal ingredients (and no animal testing). They are also gluten, dairy and soy free. In addition, all of the products are made in the USA and the packaging is biodegradable and recyclable.

I’d probably choose the Rosemary Mint but anything that kills those little buggers works for me!
