Learning to snowboard has brought all sorts of new gear into our house. We have a corner of the living room that is literally dedicated to it.
One thing I wouldn’t have thought about is the wind and sunburn that can come with snowboarding. While my goggles and helmet cover a good portion of my face, the lower half is exposed to the elements.
When I went out for my lesson, I was out there for over 4 hours and I came home with a nice windburn on my face. I even peeled a bit under my nose – oops.
Fortunately, when you remember to use them, there area handy contraptions you can use to cover that portion of your face.
One brand we recently got to try is Hoorag. They are a bit thinner and more lightweight from some of the others we’ve tried. On a really cold day, they are a bit too thin, but on a nice Bluebird day, they’re a good weight and they’re breathable.
Check out Brian rocking his Hoorag.

You can also use the Hoorag for other purposes too. Check out all of these styles – you read more about each of them here.
You can also watch this quick video. It’s amazing how fast this guy can whip up each of these styles!
You can pick one up on the Hoorag website for $14.95.
