I recently shared that Kaylee has started to show a lot more interest in potty training, so I’m trying to encourage it as much as possible. While letting her run around naked has been working best, I still want to get her used to wearing “big girl panties” rather than diapers, so I’ve started looking into cloth trainers.

The first pair we’ve had the opportunity to try are the FuzziBunz Trickle Free Trainers. They are designed to help babies transition from diapers to big-girl (or big-boy) underwear, without the waste (or high cost) of disposable pull-ups or the feel of a traditional diaper.

All of the fun designs are digitally printed to minimize problems like fading and peeling.

We chose the Princess in Training pattern (because Kaylee is absolutely a princess!).

There are snaps on each side, so they’re more like her big sister’s panties and less like her baby diapers.

The interior has a minky fabric that allows her to feel when she’s wet, but clean up easy. And there isn’t a pocket to stuff – the absorbency is built in.

Every time Kaylee sees her FuzziBunz Trickle Free Trainers come out of the dryer, she smiles and proudly says, “Those my big girl panties!”

I was really nervous about her having an accident in them and having to clean up a huge mess on the carpet, so I was surprised that they did, in fact, hold a full pee. They are a lot more absorbent than I was expecting. I wouldn’t put them on her at night, but they’re great for daytime use.

They are nice and snug around her thighs so the pee couldn’t leak out easily. One thing I don’t like about them is how puffy they are in the front. I wish they had a little trimmer cut. But they’ll be fine for letting her run around the house during summer, or under a sundress.

Overall, we’re happy with the FuzziBunz Trickle Free Trainers. If you’re also potty training, you should download the Potty Training Tips PDF that FuzziBunz has for free on their website right now.

You can also use the FuzziBunz website to locate a store that carries FuzziBunz Trickle Free Trainers. Or you can order them from Amazon.com.
