Every Thursday, my Facebook stream is filled with Throwback Thursday photos. It’s really hilarious to see your friends and family from way back. It always brings up some fun memories.

My girls love to hear about when Mommy and Daddy were kids. Daddy tells them “Little Brian Stories” most nights. They don’t quite understand that they’re all stories about him when he was little, but they love it.

They also really love seeing pictures of us when we were younger. It’s hard for them to believe that Mommy and Daddy weren’t always grown ups. Kids are so cute.

One thing we both love sharing with them is movies from our childhood. There’s nothing like throwing on one of our favorite movies from the 80s and realizing they love it every bit as much as we did back then.

Do you celebrate Throwback Thursdays? Do you get your kids involved? If you do, here are 12 movies and TV shows you can check out with your kids on Netflix:

  1. Saved by the Bell
  2. The Baby-Sitters Club
  3. Family Ties
  4. Jem and the Holograms
  5. Transformers
  6. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  7. The Care Bears Movie
  8. The Smurfs and the Magic Flute
  9. Strawberry Shortcake
  10. Curious George
  11. Sesame Street
  12. Dumbo

I think the top pick off this list in our household is Curious George. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen every single episode at least 4-5 times!
