laundry_powderI have been cycling through natural laundry detergents for a while, trying to find one that I really like. I’d seen Molly’s Suds on a few websites, but hadn’t had the opportunity to try it yet.

I met with the owner of Molly’s Suds at Expo West, and she gave me a bag of her powdered laundry detergent to try. I was really excited because the ingredients were very clean – and it was scented with peppermint oil.

Proprietary blend of sodium carbonate from the Green River Basin in Wyoming, sodium bicarbonate, epsom salt (epsomite), sea salt, organic peppermint essential oil.

Molly’s Suds even rated an “A” in the EWG Cleaning Guide – yay! I have been checking the EWG cleaning product list for everything since I realized that not all natural cleaning products are really natural.

Molly’s Suds laundry powder is a fine powder, which is great because our water gets really cold and some of the coarser powders I’ve used don’t dissolve completely. Molly’s Suds has completely dissolved every time I’ve used it.

molly-sudsYou only need a very small amount of detergent as well (about a tablespoon per load). One bag lasts for 128 loads!

It also seems to clean very well. Our clothes come out clean when I use it, and the peppermint scent fades afterwards. You can always add a couple drops of essential oils to your dryer balls if you want a scent that stays.

For all you cloth diapering moms, yes, Molly’s Suds laundry detergent is cloth diaper safe! (I’m so glad we’re done with diapers!)

If you’re looking for a good natural detergent that is actually natural and really works, give Molly’s Suds a try and support this mom-owned business.

I was researching my favorite laundry detergent on the EWG website and was disappointed to see it rated a B. the safest one I saw was Molly’s Suds. I ordered a bag through Abe’s Market ( shipping was a little cheaper) and I can’t wait to try it! Thanks for the great review!
