Today is Earth Day. Some people celebrate Earth Day, some celebrate Earth Week and some celebrate Earth Month. Others, like me, celebrate the earth each and every day.
It's hard when you're a busy mom who is wearing so many different hats to prioritize making earth-conscious decisions. Trust me, I get that!
I wanted to share one simple step you can take to help care for the Earth this week. And that's by supporting the Arbor Day Foundation through its Roots for a Brighter Future partnership with Unilever and Ahold stores (Stop & Shop, Giant, Martin’s and Giant Carlisle).
Do you have an Ahold store locally? If you do, next time you're out shopping, look for participating Unilever products. When you purchase $15 worth of participating products, you'll save $5 on your purchase.
Not only that. One tree will be planted in a reservation in Massachusetts or Pennsylvania through the partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. They'll plant up to 50,000 trees during this Earth Month Promotion.
If you're already a Unilever product fan, then this is one super simple step you can take to make a difference in the environment. Trees are critical to clean air, so it's wonderful to help the Arbor Day Foundation to plant more.
It's a great lesson to your kids too. You can talk with them about why you're making certain purchases. Kids totally understand the need to save the Earth – it's their future riding on it!
If you can make it out to an Ahold store today (April 22, 2017) they will be giving away free trees during special store events (check with your local store to see if they're participating and for all event details).
You could pick up the tree with your family today, then plant it on Arbor Day, which is April 28, 2017.
Whether you stop by a store today to pick up a free tree, or participate in the Unilver spend $15, save $5 promotion, you'll be making one simple choice to help the Earth today, on Earth Day.
