We very seldom give our daughters medication, but it's concerning when some of the most basic medications that parents use every day for infants and children are being recalled yet again.
The medications affected by this recall are:
- Infant and Children's Tylenol
- Infant and Children's Motrin
- Chilren's Zyrtec
- Children's Benadryl
Zoë currently has a fever and cold, so it makes me question the safety of the medications we do have on hand, even though they are the generic versions of Tylenol and Motrin.
According to McNeil, the reason for this recall is:
"Some of the products included in the recall may contain a higher concentration of active ingredient than is specified; others may contain inactive ingredients that may not meet internal testing requirements; and others may contain tiny particles. While the potential for serious medical events is remote, the company advises consumers who have purchased these recalled products to discontinue use."
