Like all kids, my girls love toys. I try to provide them with as many toys that have educational value as possible. So when I stopped in the Endangered Species booth at Expo West, I fell in love with the company’s concept.
Created by Mom and Founder Laura Hite, Endangered Species offers eco-educational fun products for kids and babies. Laura has created a line of toys designed to teach young children about endangered animals while creating fun products that are environmentally friendly.
They offer a variety of unique bath toys, first aid products, activity sets, travel items and more. Endangered Species products use recycled packaging and a portion of every purchase of an Endangered Species product is donated to the Defenders of Wildlife Organization to help endangered animals.
One of my favorite things about Endangered Species is that they use “stone paper” that’s made from reclaimed limestone. It is durable, waterproof and tear resistant. And unlike traditional paper, it doesn’t use wood pulp – so it saves trees. The stone paper manufacturing process doesn’t use water, doesn’t emit toxic gas and doesn’t pollute. In addition, the stone paper is recyclable, bleach free and toxin free!
We got to review 2 wonderful products from Endangered Species
Large Animal Rescue Bath Set
This fun set includes: Hypoallergenic Bubble Bath, 6 Bath Crayons, 10 Floating Animal Disks, Stone Paper Coloring Map, Animal ID Spinner and Rescue Net.
The girls have had a lot of fun playing with this set in the bathtub. They have the map stuck to the wall and they love coloring on it. It has held up extremely well – a true testament to the durability of the stone paper it’s made from. The animal disks also stick to the map so we can talk about which animals come from which continent.
I love the design of the crayons. They are a triangle shape so they don’t roll around. However, I didn’t realize how easily they’d melt in bath water, so next time we’ll be more careful to keep them stored on the side of the tub.
This set is great for kids who love animals and learning about their origins.
Turtle Cold Pack Pouch
Whenever one of the girls falls down, I have always given them an ice pack. We were going through a phase with Zoë where she wanted nothing to do with the ice pack until we got this Turtle Cold Pack.
It’s soft and fuzzy like a stuffed animal, so it keeps your fingers warmer while you’re applying cold therapy.
But on the underside, the material is thinner so the cold from the pack inside can easily reach your kid’s owie.
Zoë is more than happy to use it now, which is great!
In addition to the Turtle, the cold pack is also available as a Seal or Panda Bear. We love our little ice pack. I wish they came in a larger size!
Overall, I have been quite impressed not only with Endangered Species’ mission, but also the quality and unique educational value their products offer. Be sure to check out the Endangered Species website and like their Facebook page.

The sea turtle cold pack is absolutely adorable. I will have to order one for my little girl.
Man! Why didn’t we have cool bath sets like this when we were kids? Writing on a bathroom wall with crayons is like a toddler’s dream! You can bet anything they learn from this set will stick in their memory. This is a wonderful use of kinetic learning through play. =)
My grandson hates when I put something cold on him, but I don’t think he’ll mind with this cute little turtle!
The bath set looks cool I might have to look into getting one!
That cold pack would be so much better than just a bag of ice!
My three year old loves playing in the bathtub–I don’t know if she would ever come out with all of those toys!

I love the turtle cold pack because my niece thinks ice makes everything better but this padded cold pack would help her to keep them on. And as she gets older these toys the map and the turtle can help her learn about animals that might go extinct if we do not do something to help slow down climate change
what a great idea for kids…..this will be great for my little 3 yearold grandson
the animal rescue bath set looks like so much fun and good for learning!
Very cute cold pack!

I’m careful about letting my kids play with bath foams and stuff. This sounds like a good set. I agree with Cara about the ice packs being much better than a bag of ice.
I love that little turtle ice pack, it is absolutely adorable. You’re right they should make larger ones, I would like one for myself too!
This adds such a personal touch to just having an ice pack. Very cute!
Aw, that’s nice that the turtle cold pack gave her comfort
aaaaaaaw hope it made her feel much better! What a great idea for an ice pack though. Not that any boo boo doesn’t hurt but with these it just might make you feel better a little quicker.

it so nice for the kids to be able to learn about our planet’s precious species via hands on games and even ice packs! they need to be visible, to help everyone not forget about them just bc they arent in our own backyards.

You know, we don’t have a cute cold pack at all. I am sure my 4 year old would love having this for her owies. Thanks for the review. I really like the bath set. My husband and I were just talking about getting new bathtub toys.

In all honesty, I think it’s really great that they turned learning about Endangered Species into an art form. It makes it really fun for the children and for the supervising parents
How neat, I think this is great, we need to start with the kids at a young age about endangered species.
what a great way to apply ice
This is such as great idea. I really love the Panda Bear.
