Green Toys is one of my favorite toy brands, and the girls love them too! We first tried Green Toys when Zoë got the Cookware and Dining Set for Christmas in 2010. I instantly fell in love with the quality of Green Toys.

If you’re not familiar with Green Toys, they make an awesome line of children’s toys made from recycled plastic and other eco-friendly materials. They use recycled milk containers as the main ingredient to create their Green Toys. This plastic material is called high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is considered one of the safest, cleanest plastics available.

They contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA. They are also designed without any external coatings, eliminating the risk of lead paint like some other brands we used to support.

All Green Toys products are 100% made in the USA – in California, a state known for strict toy safety and environmental laws. In fact, Green Toys pass a plethora of tests, including:

  • Consumer Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
  • Consumer Products Safety Standard Specification, ASTM F963
  • California Prop. 65 restrictions on lead & cadmium
  • FDA regulations for food contact
  • Voluntary testing for no BPA (Bisphenol-A)
  • International standards EN71 and ISO 8124

Green Toys also tries to minimize their packaging. All Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable.

If that’s not enough for you, the toys are awesome too. This time around, we got to review the Pink Dump Truck and Pink Sand Play Set.

Green Toys Pink Dump Truck (Retail $27.99)

Who says girls can’t play with trucks! My girls love playing with cars and trucks, and this pink dump truck lets them stay pretty in pink while getting down and dirty helping to save the planet. They love playing with it in the yard to haul dirt and rocks and I’ve caught Kaylee sitting on it more than once. It’s super durable to put up with their abuse. I like that is has no metal axels and a workable purple dumper.

Green Toys Sand Play Set (Retail $21.99)

What kid doesn’t like to play in the dirt? Now that the sun is out, the girls are out in the yard playing all the time. We have gone through many cheap plastic buckets from the dollar store – the girls destroy them as fast as they get them. So I am happy to report that this sand play set from Green Toys is built to last. It comes with a bucket, shovel, rake and sand castle mold – and they are all made of the same high quality, durable plastic.

As expected, Green Toys remains one of our favorite toy brands. I highly recommend choosing Green Toys for your little one.

Tried this & became fan of manufacturer . Super sturdy and durable. Bucket is substantial and does not feel cheap or chintzy. Handle is rope but won’t snap and break bucket if bucket gets heavy like other sets. Comes with nice shovel and hand trowel made of thick plastic. Also has mold for sand castles. Kids love it.

I loved playing with trucks and cars as a kid, and I plan to make sure our daughter has access to the same toys. Not only is the dump truck WAYYYY prettier than my old Tonka crane, but I’m sure it’s a whole lot safer built. That thing I played with had some seriously sharp edges! XD

I love dump trucks for girls. My little one is always putting things in her mouth so it’s great not to worry about harmful substances like lead being in the toys.

I really like that they are made in the USA. Another plus for me is that they actually have a dump truck in pink. Girls like to play with trucks and cars too. I know because I was always using my brothers lol Give me a dump truck and a pile of dirt I was happy. I want my little one to enjoy dirt to and a dump truck in pink would be just perfect :)
