When Zoë was a baby, my wrap was a complete and total lifesaver. She would take a 20-minute nap every 2 hours, and the only way I ever got out of the house was if I wore her in that wrap. However, managing to wrap the fabric just right when out in public, especially in places like parking lots, was a challenge. I would have to put the wrap on before we left the house, wear it in the car and hope it wouldn’t need to be re-wrapped anytime during the trip.
So I was very curious to try the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier when I heard about it. It’s a ready-to-wear wrap, meaning there is no actual wrapping involved. It can be worn in all of the same positions as a traditional wrap, without the hassle of wrapping! Now why didn’t I think of that?
The Baby K’tan carrier is made from two loops of cotton that are connected by a third smaller loop called the Back Support Band.
It is a cross between a sling and a structured front baby carrier, offering the positions and benefits of both. It is designed to carry babies and toddlers ranging from 8 to 35 pounds.
Since it has been a warm summer, we were excited to have the opportunity to try the Black Breeze Baby K’tan Baby Carrier. This carrier is made from 50% mesh and 50% cotton, which reduces heat and moisture so it’s cooler, more breathable and more comfortable during warm weather and outdoor activities.
It also includes a matching sash that converts to a handy storage tote.
Baby K’tan also offers the option to personalize your carrier with embroidery. That’s a neat baby shower gift idea.
Overall, I have found the Baby K’tan baby carrier to be a great alternative to the traditional baby wrap for people on the go.
Check out the Baby K’tan Breeze Baby Carrier and connect with Baby K’tan on Facebook and Twitter.

I actually have a regular k’tan. It’s been too hot to wear it lately. It literally feels like an extra shirt. I wish I had the mesh one!

great review
I would love to try the baby k’tan unfortunately that prize is US only
What an interesting concept, I have many times put a wrap on in the parking lot and been bummed about it getting all dirty on the ground. Would love to try this.
I love how breathable this fabric looks!
I love the fabric for that! it looks very cool! Might be awesome to use as a water carrier
I am curious to see this one in action. It is difficult to see/understand it just in pictures.
I have the regular k’tan and it felt like I had another shirt on, so I haven’t used it much. I like the breathable fabric on this one.
I love how the fabric looks breathable on hot summer days and there’s minimal fabric so heat it’s cooler than a traditional wrap.
This would be awesome for summers down south!
Wow! I wasn’t really sure what the baby k’tan was all about but it looks like a great alternative to a traditional wrap!
Looks so light and comfy! perfect for summer

This sounds like such a great idea, wish I had known about this one when my daughter was little enough to be in a wrap carrier, since I did the same as you and would wrap at home before we headed out anywhere.

This looks neat! I also didn’t bring my wrap out in public much because it was tough to wrap myself up in the parking lot with an infant crying to get out of her car seat! Plus, it was pretty warm to wear all the time in Virginia. I’d like this lighter version!

This is my number one choice for a wrap/sling type carrier! I live in Texas so the k’tan breeze is a must! I love how easy it looks, just two loops… instead of wrapping myself and little one with yards of fabric!
Oh this does seem like such a smart wrap ~ combining the benefits of other wraps out there!
I like the lightweight material.
Breathable definitely sounds good for this time of year!

This looks like it’s so much easier to use than a traditional wrap. I loved the concept of my Moby during the newborn stage, but getting it wrapped exactly right (and keeping it that way) was really frustrating.
I’ve only used ring slings before. But with baby #2 I’m hoping to use wraps as well!

looks very easy to use!
im so excited i can personalize my baby k’tan!!! such a neat add to such a great carrier!
Looks so convenient & comfy!
i have been sooo wanting to try a wrap, but didnt think i would like the “hassle” of wrapping…i didnt know about this!! i may have to try it out!
This looks like a great babywearing option! I had never heard of it, so thanks for bringing it to my attention!
These are wonderful. They work so well
I love this… I really like the idea of wraps but they freak me out. I am not sure i will be able to figure it out and I have watched people take forever to get the on and adjusted correctly. This seems like a really great and easy alternative… I would love to try it!
This looks so much more convenient than a traditional wrap. I also like the fact that is mesh material to make it cooler to wear.
such a great idea- i loved my moby wrap too but had the same problem with getting it on ‘on the go’.. it was so long that it would drag on the ground in the parking lot when i was trying to put it on.. but other than that i loved it!!
i love that it is mesh and cotton.. a great summertime option! and the sash that doubles as a carrier carrier (tee-hee) is a great feature as well!
These are sooo easy to use! Would love to try the Breeze!
i like that it is ready to wear. looks easy enough to use!
this carrier looks great! I loved my sleepy wrap, but it was hard to wrap sometimes.
The K’tan looks super comfy! I love that it’s light and made out of mesh as well, looks like it would keep you and baby cool!

I love the mesh! My wrap has been wonderful, but I haven’t worn it much this summer because it is just so hot.
What I like best about this wrap is that it doesn’t have long tails trailing to the ground. When putting a wrap on in a public place, or adjusting one, you usually have the ends on the ground.
I really like how this carrier is ready to wear and there’s no wrapping involved!

I would love to try a K tan! They look so nice and sleek.
I looooove my K’tan, it was a life saver, one of my twins insisted on being worn most of the time and I could get the thing on quick, unlike my wrap. I’d love to give the breeze a try, it looks so comfy!
I can’t wait to wear my baby!
This would have been great when mine was smaller he got so hot next to me and was a big baby (10lbs9oz at birth) I could still use it now though it looks comfy.
I make big babies too – 10 lbs 1 oz and 8 lbs 9 oz – both girls
I cant wait to use this with my grandbaby
i’ve actually heard some rave reviews on these. I have several different carriers on my registry. I’d be happy to give any of them (this being one) a try
Wow! That is so neat. I could actually see the mesh in the very first picture before I read the review and thought about how much cooler it would be.
I love my Baby K’Tan Breeze! I bought a regular one when my first daughter was born. When my second little girl was born, I wore her all the time in my old K’Tan, but this summer I broke down and bought a Breeze because it was just to hot under the other one. I love the Breeze! Can’t imagine grocery shopping with a 3 year old and 8 month old without it!
Your daughter is adorable. The carrier looks comfortable for both you and her
I love that carrier
I have never tried a K’tan, but it looks very comfortable and simple to use. I would love to try one with our little one on the way!
The mesh looks like it would breathe so nicely! I get hot easily, so that would be a good thing to have!

Too bad I didn’t know about these carriers before I bought my Beco. Here I thought I’d look like a fool trying to use a sling. Probably right. Should got me one of these bad boys! I still should. Thanks for the awesome review.
I am really interested in this wrap, especially because there is no actual wrapping involved! My Moby Wrap is wonderful, but definitely not ideal for taking on and off a few times.
Trying to get a wrap on in a parking lot in the rain is just ugly! I love that this would remove the risk of a soaked wrap!
I use a moby wrap and it can get hot in the summer. This looks like a good alternative.
I love the cool mesh material!
I like breathable fabric, would be nice on the hot summer days.
thanks for the review!
Love my k’tan. It makes grocery shopping with a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old so much easier. Wish I had it with my first.
what a great product! I’d love to try it and thank you for the review!
best for babies
Is it comfy with a toddler??
I was surprised that it was pretty comfortable. I’ll probably stick to a soft structured carrier most of the time, but I would have LOVED to have this when my girls were babies! So great for hot weather.
I tried so many different carriers and wasn’t happy. I noticed another mom with this nifty looking carrier and asked her about it. She told me about Baby k’tan and I ordered one. I love it. It’s comfortable, it works great and my daughter loves it.
I would have loved this, such a great idea. I had a moby wrap when my little guy was a baby last year but it got sooooooo hot!
This looks like such a great carrier. I got one and my 18 mo refuses to get in it so I can’t even try it our until baby #2 comes around
Yay for no more sweating it out during our 100 degree summers!!

I really want a K’tan, but I’m hesitant about what size to get — by the chart it looks like I’d be a small, but that seems so small — and I’m eight months pregnant, not sure if trying on would be tell me anything at this point. Guess I will either have to wait or buy at a store with a decent return policy just in case!!

very cool, i have never seen the Breeze, great idea.
A mesh carrier was an awesome idea! I could definitely put one of these to use here in Texas. It gets so hot! And the particular area where I live is also humid, so the breathy material would be a life saver.
What an ingenious carrier! I love the mesh material, looks great for summer.
I love the mesh and how you can personalize it. Down here in the South, it’s a great option!
I love the mesh feature! It would be great for summer!
This would be perfect for our hot South Texas year round heat! I love that you can personalize them now!
Wish I would have tried to baby k’tan instead of the moby. It looks so much easier & breathable!
I really like that you don’t have to wrap it yourself everytime – that was one thing about wraps Ive hesitated about.

I have been dying to try out the Baby K’tan. I like that you don’t have to learn quite as much as you would with a traditional wrap.
This looks a lot easier to use than the Moby we have. I like that it goes up to 35 lbs.
I think we are going to try this one for our baby girl we are expecting in November. I’ll definitely look for the mesh style!
This looks so comfortable and I have also wondered how anyone could accomplish wrapping in a public place like a parking lot. Great idea!
I love that this particular one has breatheable fabric! What a great design to help with these hot summer days!
interesting…i always thought this was a carrier meant for a much smaller baby!
I had a K’Tan when my babies were tiny and I really loved it! It was very easy to get on and get baby in and very comfortable!

Great idea but it still seems like a lot of steps. And I also wonder if the mesh is strong enough (but if it is, great idea to keep cool!)
i love that this is perfect for summer
I’ve only ever used a sling and a homemade carrier. This looks awesome! My homemade carrier is kind of in the style of the K’tan, and it is ridiculously easy to use. =) Yay for baby wearing!
This looks just great! I love that you don’t have to do all the wrapping yourself!
I like the idea that you don’t have to re-wrap all the time. However, I’m concerned about the stretching. I like that I can tighten if needed with my other wrap.
I love that it is ready to wear. I found with wraps that most of them are way too big for me. (I’m tiny!) This would be great for us.

This carrier seems very durable and of good quality, I also love the color black because you can’t see stains and because it is a neutral color for a baby boy or baby girl.
While it does look like an easy, ready to wear wrap, I think I’d prefer to actually wrap a wrap around me and baby so that I can completely control how snug everything is. It’s a great concept but I’m not sure how practical it is for us oddly shaped moms.
