Playground TV is a new app that provides your kids with a world of commercial-free, educational and entertaining children’s TV to your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

With Playground TV, you can watch full episodes of your kids’ favorite shows from PBS KIDS like Dinosaur Train and Word Girl, pre-school favorites from Nick Jr. like Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! plus so much more!

Playground TV is FREE to download, and includes some fun and educational sample content to get you started. You can then subscribe for 1-month for $4.99, 3 months for $12.99 and 6 months for $23.99. Your subscription will even let you watch on all iOS devices that you own – so you only have to buy it once, and then you can run it on both an iPad and multiple iPhones (or iPod Touches).

The subscription version of Playground TV includes shows from these channels:

  • PBS KIDS
  • Nick Jr.
  • Discovery for Families
  • Sesame Street
  • BabyFirst TV
  • VeggieTales
  • Pocoyo
  • My Kazoo

We had the opportunity to try out a Playground TV subscription. My kids absolutely love it! The app is easy to use and navigate.

I love that the shows are from the channels I would normally allow my children to watch. While we no longer have cable, they do still like to watch many of these shows. The Playground TV app makes is easy. I can just hand them my iPod Touch and they’re set!

If you’re looking for an easy way to control which shows your kids are watching, I suggest checking out Playground TV. You can learn more about Playground TV on their website. And be sure to Like Playground TV on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.

That sounds expensive, especially since all of those shows would be free at home, and even if you have to watch something on your phone when out and about you can just pull up a YouTube video or something!

I just download playground tv for my son, I was wondering if I can use it when I’m not in a wifi zone if I do not have a data plan, I don’t want to subscribe if i will not be able to use it while I’m out
