Thank you for joining us for The Choose To Reuse Giveaway Hop! This wonderful event is hosted by The Organic Times, Happy Mothering & Earth Faerie Momma. Each of the participating blogs is featuring a giveaway worth $25 or more. This event will end Friday, August 17 at 11:59pm EST. After you enter my giveaway be sure to hop on around to the other blogs and help us reduce, reuse and recycle!
As part of this awesome hop, I’m giving away a set of 25 Organic Eco Towels from Natural Linens, a family-run business, dedicated to providing practical, handmade items for your home at affordable prices.
I love that these reusable napkins / un-paper towels are made from 100% organic unbleached birdseye cotton fabric that is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified! Even though they are each a single layer of fabric, they are soft, absorbent because of the weave and serged along the edges to make them durable.
I thought switching to reusable napkins and paper towels would be much harder than it has been. We have probably cut our use of paper towels in half (maybe more), so we still have a ways to go, but we’re working on it. Now that we’ve been using them, I really prefer reusable cloth napkins and un-paper towels.
In addition to the Organic Eco Towels, Natural Linens has some other really great reusable products made from organic fabrics. I got to try out the Organic Cuisine Sampler.
This set includes a dozen of the Eco Towels I mentioned above (awesome)! It also includes two 4″ x 5” organic cotton snack bags and one 6.5′ X 6.5” sandwich/snack bag.
The girls love taking small snacks with us to the park or on car rides, so these bags are perfect! I love that they are made only of organic cotton. There is no velcro on these bags – they fold over like the sandwich bags I grew up with!
The set also includes two round or cone style organic coffee filters.
I have only had a chance to try these once, and it didn’t turn out favorably. I ended up with a lot of coffee grounds in the pot, but I’m sure it’s mostly user error. I need to keep experimenting. After seeing this image again, maybe I’m using too much coffee in the filter.
UPDATE: I used the coffee filter again this morning. This time I wetted it first and used less coffee grounds and it worked!
They also have organic loose leaf tea bags. I haven’t tried these yet, but I’m looking forward to it!
If you’re looking for great reusable products made from organic fabric, check out the Natural Linens Etsy Shop! They have a great selection and reasonable prices.
For your chance to win the set of 25 Organic Eco Towels, please enter through the Rafflecopter form below. Good luck.

My favorite product is the Organic Eco-Friendly Towels with Eggshell Edges. I purchased a hundered wash cloths on sale at WalMart and put them in a baskets in the bathroom and kitchen. When the kids and visitors wash their hands, everyone has a fresh, clean towel to dry their hands. I put separate baskets in each room for the used towels. When I do laundry, I grab the baskets and wash them all together with the rest of the towels.
Had I known about these Eco-Friendly Towels, I would have gotten these instead!

I try to reuse constantly! Besides what I do with the hand towels, I also always carry reusable grocery bags in my car’s trunk, so I don’t tax the environment with plastic or paper grocery bags. I recycle (separate can beside the dustbin in the kitchen for recycleable containers.) If I can think of a way to reuse or recycle, I try to incorporate it into our lives.

We are in the process of doing away with buying paper towels at all. I currently only use them for “gross” jobs, like wiping down the toilet, but I am thinking about using my threadbare rags for that and then just tossing those out, since they would be heading to the trash anyway.
