Summer is slowly coming to a close, and back to school time is at hand. Very soon, families everywhere will be dealing with daily schoolwork, homework and everything that comes along with that.

If your child needs help in school, where will you turn? Do you have the knowledge yourself to help them work through their challenges? Will you search the internet for knowledge or will you hire a tutor?

Do you have a tutor in your area you trust, or will you need help locating one who has knowledge in the area you seek?

Tutorhub.com is an established education business that has been providing tutoring services over the Internet since 2007.  They have a unique business model that I haven’t seen before.

You can hire a one-on-one tutor and only pay for the time they actually spend with your child since they charge by the minute, not by the hour. So, if your child only need 5 minutes, great. If they need an hour, that’s fine too.

You can enter your question and see what tutors are available. Then you can check out their profiles and rates, and see which tutor you want to work with. All of the tutoring is done online through a service similar to instant messaging, so it’s great for kids that are comfortable with technology.

They also offer community forums where their members can interact with each other at no charge. So if a tutor isn’t available, there may be another student online who can answer your child’s question.

While our girls aren’t in school yet, I’ll definitely be keeping Tutorhub in mind if we ever need tutoring help in the future!
