Games are such an important part of childhood. Some of my fondest memories as a child were sitting around playing board games with my siblings and cousins for hours on end.
My girls have inherited the love for games, which is just amazing. A few years back, we were looking for games to play on road trips, and Santa brought one of the girls a game called Spot It! On the Road.
Both of the girls had a fun time playing together in the back seat while we went on many of our road trips. It has been a while since they've played it, so I almost completely forgot about it until I found a new mobile game called Spot It! Duel that was just released a few weeks ago.
It's the first digital game in the Spot It! collection. If you're not familiar with the Spot It! games, more than 10 million have been sold around the world.
And I have to say, I think it's pretty fun myself! I have always loved games where you spot the differences, and Spot It! Duel is similar in that you spot the similarities rather than the differences.
In Spot It! Duel, players compete to match symbols as fast as they can. In the process, they get to collect rewards and Dobble characters as they progress through the game.
I like that you really have to balance speed with strategy in this game. That's a great life lesson for the kids.
You have to move as quickly as you can while keeping your strategy in place. Move too fast and you can't properly execute the strategy. Move too slow trying to execute your strategy perfectly and your computer opponent will outpace you.
You can play Spot It! Duel solo or with other players. My girls like to play together. Four eyes are better than two! It's designed to be easy enough for people of all ages to play, but the challenges become more difficult as your progress in the game.
I love digital games because it means that I have to pack one less thing when we travel. Spot It! Duel makes for a great family game when you're traveling or anytime you want to have game night at home.
