purple-poniesI grew up playing softball, and both of my sweet girls played softball for the first time this year. I coached, and they were on the same team, and it was the most awesome thing ever.

In the beginning of the season, neither of them were sure what they thought of it, but by the end of the season, Zoë was so bummed to see it end. Kaylee just has too much energy to sit on the field and not get ALL of the action.

They’ll both be starting their first season of soccer in a few weeks. Kaylee is thrilled because it’s more active. Zoë is a bit more reserved but excited at the same time. We’re hoping both of the girls make it onto teams with friends from softball and/or school.

We were fortunate with softball that local businesses sponsored the jerseys, but I know it’s harder in some communities. If your community’s sports team needs more help, look into the Safeskin team apparel sponsorship on PearUp.com to help teams raise funds.

PearUp is like the Kickstarter of local sports teams. It’s a really neat concept, and something very unique compared to anything else I’ve seen. It’s free for teams to earn sponsorships from brands! Pear will match up sponsors with organizations within communities that need support, making the whole process much simpler.

Teams or groups can raise up to $1,000 within a 10-day period for team apparel. And it’s free for people to support these teams! Groups earn sponsorship money by creating a Pear for their group or team, and sharing the Pear with friends and family to encourage them to complete digital incentives to earn more money. Each participant complete tasks online to earn funds for their team – tasks such as liking Safeskin on Facebook, following them on Instagram or signing up for an email list.

For every task the participant completes, they’ll earn funds towards their goal. The more tasks you complete, the more dollars you earn for your sponsorship. At the end of the 10-day period, the group leader will claim an online certificate for the amount earned, which is redeemable at any Pear printer. Your team or group gets to keep whatever amount it earns.

pearprogramimageSafeskin Youth Sports Wraps is sponsoring 2 youth sports teams, including this one, by providing financial support for the purchase of team apparel. There have been 1,400 participants and 100 Pears so far!

If your local sports team needs sponsorship, be sure to create your own Pear for your child’s team. If you create your own Pear, be sure to comment below with your link so our readers can support you!

The fine print:

  • Group award (credit toward custom t-shirts or other custom apparel) valid at any participating Pear printer partner.

  • Requires application of 3″x 4″ Proudly sponsored by + brand logo on apparel alongside your custom design (it looks good!).

  • Limit one sponsorship/award per group; no cash value.

  • Adult sports teams (participants 19 years of age and older) are subject to cancellation.
