I recently had the chance to attend the Healthy Child Healthy World Date Night event, and support one of my favorite organizations.
It was a blast getting to talk with some great brands and hanging out with some fellow bloggers.
There were tons of desserts to sample. Unfortunately not much that was gluten and dairy free, so I mostly got to appreciate the artistry of all of the decadent desserts 
The Clover table did have fresh fruit they were serving with cream, so I got to have some fresh fruit sans cream.
The event was a fundraiser to help raise money for Healthy Child Healthy World.
They are still looking for more donations to help meet their goal of $25,000. You can help!

This looks like it was a fun event! It would have been super hard to not have some of those deserts. I am actually surprised they had little gluten free desserts their.

Yes, I was surprised as well. Luckily, I have no desire to eat anything with gluten in it! There was the fruit I mentioned and some dark chocolate. Other than that I pulled the bread off of a couple of sliders and ate those
There were a few other gluten free items, but they were dairy based.

I love that Healthy Child is such a large organization that has such a large presence and can help so many children.
What a wonderful effort – health & nourishment is the basic component to a happy & productive life, not only for the individual but for their family, friends & the world.
i love that there is such a large movement in our world for healthy children! eating healthy and living active seems so simple yet i cannot tell you how much this world is lacking in that dept! i have been a dance instructor for 10 years, and NEVER have i seen as many overweight KIDS as i do in the past few years. as parents we are setting the example for the rest of THEIR lives! LETS MAKE IT AN EXCELLENT ONE!
The event looked like so much fun and what a great cause! I love Healthy Child Healthy World because Children are our future! We need to take care of them!

I love their helpful articles on their website on all sorts of topics – I always go there to search a topic I am researching, such as baby items, safer furniture, risks of certain toxins, etc. We recently used it when buying a new mattress and pillows.
