I recently had the chance to attend the Healthy Child Healthy World Date Night event, and support one of my favorite organizations.

It was a blast getting to talk with some great brands and hanging out with some fellow bloggers.

There were tons of desserts to sample. Unfortunately not much that was gluten and dairy free, so I mostly got to appreciate the artistry of all of the decadent desserts :-)

The Clover table did have fresh fruit they were serving with cream, so I got to have some fresh fruit sans cream.

The event was a fundraiser to help raise money for Healthy Child Healthy World.

They are still looking for more donations to help meet their goal of $25,000. You can help!

  1. Donate: Help HCHW hit their goal by texting the word “HEALTHY”, the amount of your donation and your name to 41444. Every dollar counts and, more importantly, makes a difference in the lives and well being of families and children all over the world!
  2. Help Spread The Word: Tweet: @Healthy_Child is $2,400 away from their fundraising goal! Text HEALTHY, $ amount & name to 41444 to donate! #HCHW http://www.happy-mothering.com/?p=8737 ‎

Every person who tweets or re-tweets the message above will be entered to win this awesome bag of goodies from Healthy Child Healthy World & their sponsors! On October 5th we will select TWO lucky winners!

*You can earn multiple entries by tweeting the message each day!

Yes, I was surprised as well. Luckily, I have no desire to eat anything with gluten in it! There was the fruit I mentioned and some dark chocolate. Other than that I pulled the bread off of a couple of sliders and ate those :-) There were a few other gluten free items, but they were dairy based.

LETS MAKE IT AN EXCELLENT ONE!

I love their helpful articles on their website on all sorts of topics – I always go there to search a topic I am researching, such as baby items, safer furniture, risks of certain toxins, etc. We recently used it when buying a new mattress and pillows.
