kaylee-cash-registerMy kids have always been fascinated with cash registers and money, but it’s one toy they never had! That is until Learning Resources sent us their New Sprouts Ring It Up Cash Register to review.

It’s a very basic cash register, but it’s perfect for the age range it’s designed for: ages 2 to 4. Kaylee (age 3) loves playing with it and pretending like I’m buying things from her. It is definitely too basic for Zoë at age 5, so I think they got the age recommendations correct on this one.

I like the more basic toys as an option because I feel that it allows more creative play and free thinking. This toy has just enough functionality without going overboard.

After a couple weeks, Kaylee did get a couple of the coins stuck inside somehow, so I need to get a screwdriver and undo the register so I can get them out. Other than that, we haven’t had any problems with it and she’s still playing with it even with the missing coins.

The New Sprouts Ring It Up Cash Register would make a great gift for a child ages 2-4. With Christmas coming up fast, make sure to Pin this one for later!
