Fall-Into-GreenWelcome to the 2nd Annual Fall Into Green Giveaway Hop, hosted by Happy Mothering and the Green Moms Network! As we usher in cooler weather, we invite you to sit back and have fun entering some great green giveaways, which will help you Fall Into Green this Autumn! After entering my giveaway, be sure to visit the other blogs listed under the Rafflecopter form for your chance to win more great eco-friendly giveaways.

natural-herbal-livingI have always been into herbal remedies, but I know that my knowledge is very limited. So when I heard my fellow Green Moms Network member had introduced the Natural Herbal Living Magazine and Herb Box, I was ecstatic to have a chance to review the Rosemary box!

I love when a subscription box service comes out that has a whole new concept. Instead of just providing you with information about a different herb each month, Natural Herbal Living Magazine takes it a step further and provides you with the tools necessary to truly understand how to use that herb.

I have always loved the flavor of Rosemary, but never knew much about how to use it beyond roasting chicken and potatoes. I love all of the recipes and tips that came with the Herb Box!

I had my very first Rosemary Infusion (basically a tea made with rosemary). It tasted nice and even Kaylee liked it. I think it would be very soothing when you’re sick (I love the smell of rosemary essential oil when I’m sick).

We also tried the Rosemary Hot Cocoa recipe. Somehow I missed the blender part of the instructions and made it with the chia seeds still whole. The flavor was good, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the texture. Next time I’ll read the directions better :-)

I haven’t made the herbal hair rinse yet, but I have everything set aside to do it when I’m ready to take the plunge with No Poo again.

I love that the herb boxes are always free of Gluten, Dairy, Nuts, Eggs and Soy (the packaging cannot be guaranteed soy free, but no ingredients will contain soy). With so many people suffering from food allergies these days, it’s nice to have a safe option.

The monthly herb box is $30 per month plus $10 shipping and has a retail value of $40-50. If you subscribe to the box monthly, you’ll get a 10% discount!

The magazine itself is very in-depth as well – the Rosemary issue was 37 pages long! I guess there’s a lot to say about Rosemary, and for good reason. It’s an amazing herb!

If you’ve every wanted to hone your herbalist skills, check out Natural Herbal Living Magazine and Herb Box!

Win a Ginger Box!

One Happy Mothering reader will win the Ginger Box during the Fall Into Green Giveaway Hop! Items in the box will include:

  • Fresh ginger rhizome
  • Sugar
  • Ginger essential oil

Here at Natural Herbal Living, we have decided to take a different approach to a self guided herbal education. Instead of just relying on the recipes provided to us by books, we encourage budding herbalists to take the time to really get to know one herb a month.
Thanks for the contest.
