Have you ever thought about how many bacteria are lurking in your toothbrush every time you put it in your mouth? The moist environment of your toothbrush makes it an ideal breeding ground for millions of microorganisms. In addition, the bacteria that live in your toothbrush can multiply exponentially, doubling every 20 minutes to create up to 100 million microbes! Yikes!
This is a great little video about the bacteria in your toothbrush.
Crazy, right? I had never given too much thought about the ickies lurking on my toothbrush, but it totally makes sense. I do a lot of freelance writing in the medical technology industry, and I’m very familiar with the antimicrobial properties of silver, so it totally makes sense to use it in this manner!
EcoFam infuses nano-size silver particles into their toothbrush bristles to create a large relative surface area that comes into contact with the bacteria on the toothbrush brush. Silver’s anti-microbial properties naturally and safely suppress the bacteria’s respiration and metabolism, inhibiting the cell growth that normally causes infection, odor, illness, etc.
They even had lab tests done showing that this process naturally eliminate 99% of bristle bacteria in less than 12 hours! On a side note, unlike colloidal silver, which is supposed to be ingested, the silver EcoFam uses stays in the brush because it’s designed to eliminate bacteria living on the bristles, not in your mouth.
If that’s not enough, EcoFam toothbrushes are also totally eco-friendly! They feature an eco-friendly handle that’s made from 100% biodegradable plant starch, plant oil and plant glue. No plastic! EcoFam’s studies show that 80% of the handle degrades in 14 months. They are also free of GMOs, Polystyrene, Phthalate and BPA.
EcoFam toothbrushes also feature Flossing Micro Bristles made from nylon. Unlike normal bristles, these bristles provide dual action brushing and flossing to effectively remove plaque between teeth and below the gum line, without hurting your gums. I have sensitive gums, and I love how gentle these brushes are!
The only toothbrushes we’re using now are EcoFam eco-friendly toothbrushes. If you’re ready to switch to the cleaner, greener toothbrush, hop over to the EcoFam toothbrush and pick up some for your family. You’ll get 30% off with coupon code GREENBRUSH!

I have never heard of this brand before, thanks for sharing. I get so grossed out by regular toothbrushes. I tend to replace ours every month, but even then I know they are just sitting there with bacteria.
