It’s International Babywearing Week, and to celebrate, we’re participating in a huge giveaway event, hosted by Happy Mothering and Green Moms Media. As part of this event, we’re giving away 8 amazing baby carriers! That means 8 of you will win a baby carrier to help you keep your baby close to you!

Our wonderful babywearing sponsors will be providing the following carriers to our lucky winners:

Onya Baby Carrier {$149 value; US/CAN entries}

The Onya Baby Carrier is the only babywearing option that allows you to wear your baby not only on your front and back – but also enables you to convert nearly any adult chair into a safe seat for your baby! It can be used with children up to 45 pounds. Read Happy Mothering’s review here.

Kozy Carrier Mei Tai, sponsored by QuirkyBaby {$89 value; US entries}

The Kozy mei tai carrier features a breast cancer awareness pattern in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This versatile two-shoulder baby carrier works for newborns through toddlers and has flexible and adjustable shoulder and waist straps that fit most wearers. Read Happy Mothering’s review here.

Catbird Baby Mei Tai Carrier {$89 value; US/CAN entries}

Snuggy Baby wraps have everything that you could want in a baby wrap; comfort, support, and style. This baby carrier is completely adjustable so one size fits all. It works between various care givers of all body types. Because you create a custom fit every time you tie it on, the wrap grows with your child, ensuring that they get a comfortable secure fit from the time that they come home until you are ready to stop carrying them (generally around 35 lbs. or 3 years). The decorative panel lets you avoid having the same old boring solid wrap that you see everywhere else, and there are many designs to choose from!

Boba 3G Carrier (Value $120-$125; US entries}

The Boba Carrier 3G is designed for babies and toddlers alike (7-45 lbs.) with many incredible features not seen on other soft structured baby carriers. Lil Peeper Keepers Woven Wrap {$35.00 value; US entries}

Lil Peeper Keepers woven wraps lend needed support far past the snuggly newborn stage, all the way up to the heavy chunker toddler stage! Because of this, woven wraps are the logical choice for a wrap that will work from newborn to toddler.  These wraps are ideal for year round use as they are made from very lightweight cotton gauze, offering great comfort for both mom (or dad) and baby. Length: 5.75- 6 yards, Width: 22-25 inches, Fabric content: 100% cotton, Edge: Rolled hem. Many gorgeous colors to choose from!

I love having my baby so close and snugly, but I get to get things done at the same time.

I’d love an Ergo or Onya because they are good up to 45lbs! I miss wearing my baby – she’s not a baby anymore! but grew out of our carrier weight wise. We walk everywhere so a carrier made getting places quick easy and fun – and it’s easier to chat when the little one’s right up there at the same level :)

My favorite thing about babywearing is how effortless it makes nurturing your babies and children. I would most love to win an Ergo to replace the one my husband and I have been using for 5 years that needs to be retired! :)

6 Melissa French October 7, 2012 at 10:53 pm

I love baby wearing because it helps my uptight baby relax and it’s much easier on my body than trying to carry him in my arms all the time!

I love being able to keep baby close!

12 IzzyMummy October 8, 2012 at 7:22 am

I love wearing my daughter because she is so comfortable and I can keep her close and still have my hands free. We have both a boba and a moby wrap and I love them and so does she. I am concerned for when she gets bigger though if they are going to both support her and be as comfortable for me. I would love to try a different style of carrier and am most excited about the Onya, the Ergobaby and since we already love the brand the Boba

13 Debbie Clauer October 8, 2012 at 7:32 am

I love the feeling of keeping the baby close to me & to be able to share the sights as one.

14 Liana W. October 8, 2012 at 7:50 am

When DS is teething or generally crabby, I always strap him on! It immediately chills him out and helps him (and me!) relax. :)

I love that my baby is protected by my body. People don’t hesitate to touch your baby if they are in a carseat but they do it they are in a carrier. I am most excited about the Ergo. I have wanted one FOREVAH! I have a Moby now and it is such a blessing.

24 Cristina A October 8, 2012 at 10:37 am

I don’t personally have a child but I have many friends that are expecting and it would be awesome to win a Lil Peeper Keepers Woven Wrap or a Moby Wrap for one of them! Just because they look so simple and made of 100% cotton.

25 Taryn Pasco October 8, 2012 at 11:09 am

45 Sarah Barker October 9, 2012 at 7:45 am

46 Katrina October 9, 2012 at 7:55 am

I love babywearing for the bond that it creates with my child, it also makes nursing a breeze.

47 Randi Fremuth October 9, 2012 at 9:21 am

I love that I can instill confidence and indepedence in my daughter by simply keeping her in the spot I love the most; close to my heart! Baby wearing is so much more convenient than a stroller and my LO loves it!

48 Christine October 9, 2012 at 9:36 am

There’s nothing better than having LO close to me… We began BWing to soothe her on sleepless nights (and days!), then to get things done, then b/c it just seeme feast & normal… And my favorite now: b/c my on-the-go toddler will then snuggle in close to me and murmur “mama, mama” :)

49 Cindy October 9, 2012 at 11:06 am

I love all the benefits: reduced crying, reduced PPD, better digestion, etc!

My favorite thing about babywearing is being able to snuggle close with my little one. As he gets older, those moments are fewer and farther between, so they’re even more precious to me.

51 Heather October 9, 2012 at 12:52 pm

I love having my baby close to me.

52 Nerissa October 9, 2012 at 1:35 pm

I love babywearing it makes me feel like a strong woman, and mother. I feel my children close to me, there is that beautiful bond between mother and child, love and peacefulness. Also helps with milk production, which is a plus. I am excited about the Onya because first I have heard great reviews, second the Onya carrier has a wider seat for the child for a more comfortable carry, especailly for their hip.

53 Laura D October 9, 2012 at 1:37 pm

The catbird looks really cool. I’ve wanted that one for a while now. I love baby wearing to keep my LO close.

54 sara m ford October 9, 2012 at 1:37 pm

Snuggy Baby Wrap that is my fav!!! the baby is safe and sound

55 sara m ford October 9, 2012 at 1:47 pm

snuggybaby I think it keeps your baby very close the baby is snug so its very safe It looks very comfy unlike the straps ones I don’t like them

56 Rebecca October 9, 2012 at 3:18 pm

I love babywearing. Babies are most comfortable and happy when held close by mom and dad. I want to wear my baby through toddlerhood and plan to wear my next baby. I love the ergo and onus but they are all really great carriers.

57 Joanne October 9, 2012 at 4:01 pm

With Kid 1 I spent a king’s ransom on things because I could afford to. With Kid 2, I was laid off so I’ve had to make due with less. Would love a Boba 3G Carrier that will grow with my 10 month old. I love having the baby so close to me and really enjoying those simple moments. Because I worked, I could never enjoy the time with my first child because my time was so restricted. I took being laid off very personally but in the end, it may have been for the best as its allowed me to stay home with my youngest and really delve into being a Mom. Some days I pine for a desk job (hahaha) but the time is going so fast and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love being a Mommy :)

58 Melissa K October 9, 2012 at 4:03 pm

I love having my daughter so close. DH and I also have a game where we spot the number of empty strollers at malls and other locations. Babies seem to end up in arms anyway even when parents resist.

59 Jessica p. October 9, 2012 at 4:15 pm

I don’t have a baby yet, but I’m so excited to get to babywear when I do have one. I like the ssc and mei tai.

60 lauren October 9, 2012 at 4:25 pm

hands free!!

61 Johanna October 9, 2012 at 4:35 pm

Ergobaby is such a fantastic carrier, it is incredible how enjoyable carrying around your baby can be without the backache, soreness….. and well obviously just the ease of having your hands free!!! Here’s to winning one!

62 Michelle Walton October 9, 2012 at 5:22 pm

I love babywearing because my baby loves being held and it makes it so much easier!

63 Amy Richardson October 9, 2012 at 6:33 pm

I looove babywearing! I’m pregnant with my third and thrilled to do it all over again. There’s just such a closeness felt while babywearing. It’s amazing.

i’m most excited about the boba 3g because it looks like my toddler would fit in it

68 Marisa Johnson October 10, 2012 at 10:15 am

The thing I liked most about babywearing was having my daughter so close to me. She is now 3, and her and I (and daddy too) have a very close relationship. With the next one, a better carrier is essential so I can babywear longer :-)

69 Brandy Moore October 10, 2012 at 10:26 am

I LOVE Babywearing because it keeps baby close to me while I get things done and we don’t have to drag around an infant carrier (when he was in one), no complaicated shopping cart covers, strangers are less likely to touch all over baby then, ETC!!

i am most excited about the ergobaby one because I heard so many good things about it.

78 Jennifer Saunders October 10, 2012 at 10:51 pm

I love wearing my baby because I feel that it helps us to bond. I also feel like he is safer and happier when I am wearing him. I also love being able to kiss his chubby cheeks or rub his soft head anytime. :) Right now I’ve got a ring sling, so he practically LIVES on my hip! :)

79 Cindy Nye October 11, 2012 at 6:37 pm

I love wearing my son and I am totally addicted to babywearing – there is nothing sweeter than having your little one fall asleep on you all snug in a carrier <3 I have a serious stash of carriers already and I keep wanting more. I love being able to switch them up because each carrier puts pressure on different areas. I appreciate how the ergo sits lower on the hops for long walks and has a big hood perfect for naps. I like the cross over design of the catbird and how my son sits higher on my hips in this carrier (I find it easier to sit without disturbing him when he is asleep in it). Slings and wraps are great too – grab for all of them at different times :D Happy babywearing all!!

82 Lindsey D October 12, 2012 at 12:00 pm

I’m really excited about the Ergo and the Boba

83 Megan Frederickson October 13, 2012 at 8:10 am

I’m so excited about the Onya carrier because I have arthritis and can’t use most other ones because of the one clip behind your back. I don’t have enough flexibility to do that, so the cross back option on the Onya is amazing!

84 Michelle L Walton October 16, 2012 at 7:26 pm
