SmartKlean-Laundry-Ball-01I have been using a natural laundry detergent for a few years now, so I was curious when I read about the SmartKlean Laundry Ball. While I do use detergents without harsh chemicals, the packaging does add up over time, so I’m always interested in learning about alternatives.

The SmartKlean Laundry Ball is reusable for 365 wash loads, which is nearly seven times the average bottle of detergent. It not only replaces detergent, but also fabric softeners and dryer sheets. So it’s a multi-use product, which is always a bonus.

I was curious how the ball itself could work without any kind of detergent. The laundry ball itself has 4 different types of mineral-derived ceramic beads and 2 magnets in it. When they come into contact with water, they create ‘oxygenated’ water that has an elevated pH level that can kill germs and bacteria. Read more about how the SmartKlean Laundry Ball works here.

That made sense, but I was curious if – and how – it would work for us. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it seems to work well. The clothes come out of the laundry scent free and everything appears clean.

I haven’t tried to use it on anything that was heavily soiled yet, just our every day laundry. The company claims it will remove light, new stains, but not stubborn stains so keep that in mind.

If you want to try the SmartKlean Laundry Ball, you can find where to purchase it here.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I use natural laundry detergents too and what I love is that the clothes don’t smell like anything. I’m totally interested in what this laundry ball can do. I may just invest.
