One of the great brands I learned about when I attended the Healthy Child, Healthy World Date Night event was Denver, Colorado-based Soybu. Their performance apparel is designed to deliver superior quality with feminine styling and flattering fits for the active woman.

Being a work at home mom with two small children, comfort is very important from me. But that doesn’t mean I want to look frumpy! So I was drawn to the Soybu designs. They all seem to have flattering cuts that emphasize comfort.

I had the opportunity to review the Soybu Lotus Pants and Nirvana Hoodie – and I love them both! The fabrics are incredibly soft and very comfortable.

I wasn’t sure I would feel comfortable with the fitted cut, but both pieces are very flattering! I have lost 24 pounds since changing my diet in February, so I’m a lot more comfortable in my skin these days.

I received a medium in both pieces and they both fit great (I’m 5’7” and 132 pounds). I was worried that the size medium hoodie wouldn’t fit since I tend to wear a large due to my chest size (34D), but it fits great. The material is stretchy so it conforms to your shape, but in a flattering way. I also love how long the sleeves are – they make it extra cozy for chilly fall days.

The Lotus Pants are very comfortable and have a nice bootcut, which I always find to be most flattering on my figure. They are very fitted through the waistline and thighs, but I actually like that in these pants. I would feel comfortable wearing these pants out in public – not just lounging at home.

And the best part? Soybu uses eco-friendly fabrics whenever possible. The Lotus Pants and Nirvana Hoodie are made from 44% Conventional Polyester, 44% Recycled Polyester and 12% Spandex. But Soybu also used organic cotton, bamboo and soy fabrics for some of its pieces!

The eco-friendly active apparel from Soybu would make an excellent Christmas gift for the woman in your life (or for yourself!). I love the garments I got to review and would love to try more in the future. You can place an order on the Soybu website or locate a store near you. And be sure to connect with Soybu on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with their latest news and deals.

That is a great outfit for wrangling kiddos! Soybu also has really vibrant patterns in cute colors. I have an outfit that’s 2 sizes up and wore it through my entire pregnancy until I spilled ketchup on the skirt. Oh mommy hands.

I love bamboo fabric! It is so soft! I would love to see more on the market. It’s pretty cool that Soybu is based in Denver. I didn’t know that. That makes it a local company for me which is also pretty cool.
