I’ve written about the sustainability of cork in the past, and why I support the organization 100% Cork. So, when I was introduced to Corkologie, I was excited to learn about another environmentally friendly company dedicated to spreading the word about real cork.
Most people think cork, and envision popping open a nice bottle of Chardonnay. We think cork, and think eco-friendly gifts under $40 that are just damn nifty.
The best part about cork?
It’s Recyclable and Biodegradable.
Lets’ face it Cork is Cool, that’s why we created the Corkologie line…
We’ve taken the great eco-properties that cork inherently offers and applied elegant and clean design principles to create the Corkologie line. Consumers who are looking for affordable “green” accessories for their homes will love our products. Just because it is green does not mean it has to be expensive. Our philosophy is that more people can be green if it is cost effective.
Corkologie Wine Charms Review
Corkologie sent me a set of their cork wine charms (retail $7.00) to review. They come in a set of 6 and include a cotton muslin drawstring pouch for storage. Each charm features a unique word: Sprout, Squeeze, Screw, Swirl, Sip and Savor.
I thought this was a neat idea, and definitely different from any wine charms I’ve owned in the past. I was afraid they’d be very fragile, but they are well made, and as long as they’re treated well, I think they’ll last a long time and create some interesting dialogue at our get-togethers.
(Side note: In the picture to the right, the Corkologie Wine Charm is displayed on a glass of One Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, another great company to support. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle goes to autism research.)
Corkologie Wine Charms would make a great stocking stuffer for a wine lover, or a great gift for the host at a holiday party this year. Check out Corkologie to learn more about their wine charms and other products.
