museum-tourCan you believe that Christmas is only a month away? Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I am doing pretty good at this point, but I do still have some shopping left.

Many people across the country do much of their shopping on Black Friday. Instead of fighting the crowd this year, why not do most of your shopping online?

If you have kids to shop for, one awesome site to check out is Museum Tour, which was created by a former educator and president of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. They have a huge selection of award-winning educational products that extend the museum experience into the home. They even have a Top 10 holiday list to help you choose products the kids on your list will love.

The Museum Tour website is set up to allow you to shop based upon the learning style of each child, by age or by grade. There’s even an adult section!

Since we try to focus on educational toys, I fell in love with the selection on the Museum Tour website. As a child, I would have loved to have so many of the items on their website!

So I was thrilled that they sent me two of the toys from their Top 10 list to give to Zoë for Christmas this year!

Magic Science

magic-science-educational-toys-400x400Zoë has had a fascination with magic lately, so she is going to be so thrilled to open this on Christmas! This kit will allow your child to unleash their inner wizard! It includes a wizard wand that will allow your child to make smoke appear from their fingertips or cast color-changing spells. This kit isn’t just about tricks, it actually reveals the chemistry behind some common magic tricks. This kit is designed for ages 6+ and retails for $19.99.

Ultimate Volcano Science Kit

volcano-kit-educational-toys-400x400Brian was talking about making a volcano with the girls a few weeks ago, so when I saw this kit, I snapped it right up. With this hands-on volcano kit, kids get to paint the ceramic volcano and then make it erupt over and over (with the enclosed eruption powder and red lava coloring). The kit also include 3 actual volcanic specimens: a geode, obsidian arrowhead and floating pumice. This is going to be so much fun to play with over Christmas break! This kit is designed for ages 6+ and retails for $19.95.

Be sure to head over to the Museum Tour website to shop for some awesomely fun educational toys for your kids! There are a few things I want to buy just because they’d be fun to do with the girls!
