Reuseit is one of my favorite websites for green products for the home. As we continue to adopt more and more eco-friendly products in our family I enjoy browsing the Reuseit website to get ideas on how we can keep progressing.
I recently added a few new items to our stash of eco-friendly products.
5 Flip & Tumble Reusable Produce Bags
I have a ton of reusable shopping bags. It never ceases to amaze the checkers and baggers at the grocery store how many I have (I usually bring too many LOL).
But I am still guilty of bringing home the plastic produce bags. I feel guilty every time I get home and put the produce away because there isn’t much reuse potential for those bags.
So I was super excited to receive a set of 5 Flip & Tumble Reusable Produce Bags to add to my stash.
These bags are awesome. They’re lightweight, durable and much bigger than they look in the picture above. There are 3 pounds of apples in this pic to give you a better idea of how big they are.
I’m still getting used to remembering to use them every time, but I haven’t seen anyone else using them at the local grocery store. I’m hoping to start a trend toward reusable produce bag by using them myself since they are definitely a conversation starter.
Vegetable Keep Sacks
There’s nothing worse than reaching for a potato, onion or bulb or garlic and realizing it has already sprouted and you can’t use it. I was looking at food savers when I stumbled upon the Orka by Mastrad Vegetable Keep Sacks, which delay sprouting by protecting your vegetables from light.
I received one each for potatoes, onions and garlic. I was super excited to give them a try!
They hold a lot more than I thought they would. With 3 pounds of potatoes, the sack was only about half full. I think I got about 20 bulbs of garlic in the garlic sack. I only had 3 onions on hand, but they barely even made a dent in the onion sack.
Right now I just have them set in my hanging produce basket, but I want to get hooks to put them up on the wall like in the picture above. We have a small kitchen so I’m all about space saving techniques.
I am very happy with both of these products, which are available from Reuseit. I recommend both of them as gifts for cooks this holiday!

Love the idea of reusable produce sacks! I too bring reusable bags to the grocery but was never sure about what to do about the plastic produce bags. Thanks so much for sharing!
oh i really like them and those vegi bags are awesome looking, thanks for sharing
These look great!! I get so tired of produce spoiling by the time I use it!! Sometimes I buy something for a particular recipe and don’t use it right away and by the time I do, it has gone bad. I hate throwing away money like that.
