I always love getting new shoes, especially since I had to ditch most of my favorite shoes after the girls were born because my feet decided to grow a full size.
During winter, I am a jeans, sweater and boots girl. It’s just a cozy and comfy way to live, without looking frumpy. I always look forward to pulling out my boots when the weather cools down.
I have been wanting a new pair of stylish brown boots for a while now, so I was thrilled to receive a pair of Earthies Newscastle boots in Bark.
They meet my 2 biggest criteria for shoes: look good and feel comfortable. I have been wearing these around town and I’m very happy with them.
I like the wedge heel as I have become pretty clumsy over the years. It doesn’t take much for me to twist an ankle, so you’ll most often find me wearing flats or a wedge – no stilettos for this mama!
If you haven’t worn a pair of Earthies shoes before, they are very comfortable. This is because of their wellness footbed. I have high arches, so this is very important for me. I got a stress fracture several years ago from wearing shoes that didn’t properly support my arches, so I’m always conscious of that now.
I also received a pair of Syriana shoes to try. This pair isn’t quite my normal style, but I tend to be more of a plain jane when it comes to clothes and shoes. However, I know some of my readers would probably love them.
They are comfortable though, even though they aren’t my typical style! Perhaps in the Spring I’ll be able to pull them off with an outfit. Since winter is here, and with it comes snow, it’ll be a while before I can wear them out!

I love those boots! I live in boots all winter since we have so much snow. Those look like I wouldn’t fall down. I’m always keeping an eye out for something other than my beloved Fryes and Keens.
