Yes, it is always a challenge to think of ways to keep your child occupied. I used to fill my son's crib with a lot of toys he could easily reach for whenever he woke up from sleep. And because his toys were close by, for some reason, he rarely cried and instead started to make himself busy playing with them. Your Zoe seems to enjoy her "natural" playdough a lot. Nice one.

Zoe never really slept in a crib or I would have definitely given that a try! It's really nice when they entertain themselves for a while :-)
