For many parents, getting kids to eat healthy food can be a challenge. Every day, we’re bombarded with advertisements for junk food and fast food, and it can be difficult to teach your children that there is a difference between real food and the junk they see everywhere.
That’s why Radha Agrawal created Super Sprowtz—a series of books designed to teach children to want to eat their vegetables. The Super Sprowtz’ mission is to entertain and educate children about healthy eating habits using fun “super powered” vegetable super heroes.
Radha passionately believes that the current conversation with children about food isn’t working. Super Sprowtz changes the conversation by making vegetables both fun and educational.
It was very fitting that she sent us the book Brian Broccoli to review, as my husband’s name is Brian. I smile every time I read the book with the girls, as his super power is super strength—the perfect power for their Dad.
We also received the Super Sprowtz board book to review, which was perfect because it gives an overview of each of the Super Sprowtz characters. I love that each of the characters has a super power based upon the nutritional profile of that food.
The girls love reading the Super Sprowtz books, and I love that they’re helping to teach them healthy eating habits. We eat pretty healthy in our house, but every little bit of education and encouragement helps.
If you’re looking for a fun way to teach your children the importance of eating vegetables—while making it fun—check out the Super Sprowtz!
