One of the items I recommended on my Holiday Gift Ideas for Toddlers post was the Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set. Mimi purchased this set for Zoë for Christmas because she loves to pretend to cook for us and I wanted to share my thoughts on it after it has gotten two months of use.
The Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set includes 27 pieces:
- Stock Pot with Lid
- 4 place settings (Fork/Knife/Spoon)
- 4 Plates
- 4 Bowls
- 4 Cups
This is the sturdiest dish set I have seen, the plastic is very durable. Zoë can be a very destructive little girl – she loves to take things apart to see how they work. And trust me, she’s tried to destroy some pieces of this set and she can’t. She even bends the silverware in half repeatedly and it just springs back to the right shape with no signs of wear.
It’s not a fancy set… there aren’t any princesses or fairies printed on them, but the colors are nice and the set will last through both of my girls. And, I can rest assured knowing that they won’t be ingesting toxins if they eat off of the pieces in the set because they meet FDA specifications for food contact and contain no phthalates or BPA.
This eco-friendly dish set is made from recycled curbside collected milk containers and is dishwasher safe. It’s even made in the USA.
So if you’re looking for a long lasting, eco-friendly dish or cooking set for your child, check out the Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set.
