This quote is the first thing you see when you open your Belmondo Skincare Travel Kit. It's imprinted on the an eco-friendly, handmade bag that holds the handmade skincare products waiting inside. Belmondo Skincare was founded by esthetician Daniela Belmondo, who wanted to share the skincare benefits of olive oil with her clients. When I received the Belmondo Skincare Travel Kit, the first thing I noticed is that everything was packaged in glass rather than plastic – yay!
What was included in my travel kit was a bit different than what is listed on the website. Instead of the Earth Clay Mask (0.5 oz), it included The Nectar Luscious Handy & Body Butter. It also included the other four products listed on the website:
- The Rain Face Cleanser (1 oz)
- After The Rain Face Toner (1 oz)
- The Cloud Face Cream (0.5 oz)
- The Dunes Face Exfoliant (0.5 oz)
All of these skincare products are made by hand in small batches in Vancouver, Canada with organic and natural ingredients. One of the goals of the line is to make having a skincare routine simpler for busy moms (like me).
The Rain Face Cleanser was different than any face wash I have ever used. It features apple cider vinegar and you use a cotton ball to cleanse your face, and you don't wash it off. I'm still getting used to that change in routine.
Next you use the After The Rain Toner. It works like other toners I have used. You spray an even layer across your face, then apply your moisturizer. The Cloud Face Cream was much thicker and richer than I'm used to – which was a good thing since I have dry skin.
The Dune Face Exfoliant is very gentle. The exfoliant is Hydrogenated Jojoba (Beads) Wax. These don't dissolve while you're exfoliating like sugar or salt scrubs. I always have a bit of trouble washing them all off if I don't use the scrub in the shower, but it's a great alternative if you have sensitive skin.
I think my favorite product in the travel kit I received was The Nectar Luscious Handy & Body Butter. As I mentioned, I have very dry skin, and it gets pretty bad on my hands (where I also have eczema). This body butter is creamy and rich, but it absorbs right in and does a great job of moisturizing.
So far, I have enjoyed my Belmondo Skincare products! If you're looking for a new skincare line to try, check out the Belmondo website.
