I was recently introduced to the Storyland Yoga DVD, a fun-filled yoga adventure that infuses children (ages 3-8) with an eco-conscious message. The DVD has 2 stories on it: Save the Whale and Condor Trek.
It’s a unique take on yoga as the DVD teaches kids yoga postures by allowing them to become part of the story by imitating animals. As the narrator tells the story, kids are given postures to do that go along with the story. It’s definitely a fun idea.
Each of the stories are right around 20 minutes in length, so it’s short enough to keep Zoë’s interest (Kaylee’s attention span isn’t quite there yet), but long enough for us to get a fair amount activity from.
Zoë had fun watching the yoga programs and kept asking to “do yoga” again. If you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your child, check out Storyland Yoga.
