My girls and I love crafts, but I’m not always great at putting together craft ideas on my own. So I love subscription box services that bring us fun ideas we can do together.
This month we were introduced to Wummelbox, a subscription arts & crafts service just for kids age 3-8. Each high-quality Wummelbox contains 3-4 themed-based projects (e.g., Nutrition, Music, or Color and Light) and is designed to inspire children to learn and explore the world around them.
I appreciate that Wummelbox uses eco-friendly and style-conscience materials whenever possible (e.g., recycling of the packaging, reforested wood, material like cork and sand, etc.). Even the box is part of that month’s craft – so it’s part of the craft and not just something else for your trash.
Each Wummelbox contains everything needed to immediately begin crafting. The box we received had a theme of Music, which is perfect for our house!
As soon as the girls got the box they were digging into it to see what treasures it held before I could even catch a pretty picture of the contents! I did manage to catch a shot of them working together on the projects.
They got to make a drum, a windchime and music makers – and they enjoyed every minute of it. Most of the pieces that came with the kit were of great quality.
The only recommendation I have is for them to include a heavier weight string for making the windchime. The thread was very weak and broke within minutes of completing the project. Other than that, everything was great!
