I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of Firefly® and One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.
Why is it so hard to get kids to brush their teeth? Did you know that some statistics have shown that 90% of moms have used extreme measures to get their kids to brush their teeth – everything from bribing them with gifts to giving ultimatums? I’d be lying if I said there weren’t some days when I was totally exasperated with trying to get my kids to brush their teeth.
I have found the key to changing all of that is to make teeth brushing fun. Yes, you can do that! We recently got some new Firefly toothbrushes to mix up how we make that routine a bit brighter for the girls. We’ve tried spinning brushes and musical brushes in the past, but these are the first light up brushes we’ve gotten.
And here’s the secret, they aren’t just cool because they light up. They help teach kids how long they should be brushing their teeth because the lights shut off when they’ve been brushing each row of teeth for long enough (60 seconds for each row). How cool is that? I guess that’s why the Firefly brushes are the number one selling kids toothbrush.
We have the Hello Kitty brushes, but they also come in Marvel, Angry Birds, Star Wars and more. And they are ADA approved too, so you know they are designed to clean your kids’ teeth well too. Yay for teaching our kids good oral hygiene habits!
I also like that the toothbrushes have suction cups on the bottoms of them. It helps to keep the brush heads clean since they’re kept upright rather than just laying them down on the counter into whatever the kids have spilled on it that day! They also offer a Fun Pump Mouth rinse with a no mess cup if you’re looking for more ways to keep things clean in the bathroom.
