This beautiful island has so much to offer, but here are 5 fun things to do in Puerto Rico that you should look into.
Lounge on the Beach
When I’m on vacation, I try to make sure I get some downtime to unwind and relax. Puerto Rico has 270 miles of coastline, so there is plenty of space to lounge on the beach. Flamenco Beach in Culebra is often noted as one of the best beaches in the world and was listed as one of the Top 10 beaches by the Travel Channel.
Soak Up the History
I love to experience the history of the areas we travel to. If you love history, you definitely should check out the old world charm of San Juan. There’s so much history to soak up there.
Let Your Inner Foodie Shine
When we lived in Uruguay, we were known as the foodies in the expat circle. We love a good meal! If you’re looking for things to do in Puerto Rico, you need to be sure to experience the local cuisine. And don’t forget to check out the famous rums of Puerto Rico while you’re at it.
Get Your Glow On
If you love getting in the ocean, then you’ll definitely want to check out the Bioluminescent bays. You can take a midnight dip in the ocean and you’ll find yourself glowing like an angel. What a great memory that would make.
Experience the Only US Rainforest
Did you know that Puerto Rico has a rainforest? El Yunque is the only rainforest under US National Park Service, so if you’re in Puerto Rico, it’s a must see. I’ve never been in a rainforest, so we’d definitely be checking out El Yunque.
