Kaylee has been talking about American Girl dolls for a while now, so she was thrilled when she found out that they sent us two huge boxes of toys from their 2019 summer line to review. If you watched the first unboxing video, you saw that one of the items she opened was a Truly Me doll.
The American Girl Truly Me Doll #24 she received is absolutely adorable and really does look so much like Kaylee. It’s no wonder she has been carrying her doll around ever since she got her unboxed!
American Girl Truly Me Doll #24 (aka Abby) is so darling! She has brown eyes (Kaylee says they’re hazel like hers) and wavy blond hair. It is so much like Kaylee’s – it’s beautiful and needs to be brushed frequently to help keep the long, flowy, shiny hair looking its best.
Like all Truly Me dolls, she has a cloth body, hair you can style and a movable head and limbs made of smooth vinyl. Her limbs don’t bend at the knees or elbows, so she stands better than she sits.
Kaylee wants an outfit just like Abby’s. She comes in a pretty floral sleeveless dress with a mesh hem, a zip-front jacket with a star zipper pull and white, glittery slip-on shoes.
She retails for $115 and you can add the extra accessories for $30.We didn’t get the accessories with Abby, but if you want to add them to your order, this is what you’ll receive:
- A lavender sweater with a glittery star graphic
- Light blue jersey leggings with embroidery at the ankle
- A glittery zigzag headband
- A wristlet with pockets
