In a perfect world, I’d make all of our juice from scratch. After all, we do have a pretty [simpleazon-link asin=”B0002OKDT2″ locale=”us”]awesome juicer[/simpleazon-link]. However, there just aren’t enough hours in the day for me to do everything I’d like to do, so sometimes we cut corners.
I recently picked up a quart of Raw Milk Kefir at a health food store off the mountain so we could try it. I had also just made a Costco run and picked up some Naked Juice Berry Blast as a special treat (we pretty much only get it when we go to Costco, which is only every couple months).
After an initial taste of the Raw Milk Kefir, neither girl was a huge fan of the slightly sour taste, so I decided to experiment. I put about half milk kefir and half berry blast smoothie and we went for the taste test. While Zoë still wasn’t a huge fan, Kaylee absolutely loved it and I enjoyed it as well.
We drank the entire quart of milk kefir mixed this way over the course of a few days. Because the kefir and the berry blast are both rather thick, it has a nice consistency and Kaylee called it her kefir smoothie.

- Raw Milk Kefir
- Naked Juice Berry Blast or your preferred juice
- Pour equal parts kefir and juice into a glass
- Stir vigorously until it’s all incorporated
- Taste test and see if you need to adjust the ratios
