Wow, I was just looking back through old posts last night and realized that today is Happy Mothering’s 2nd birthday! Wow, time sure does fly by.
When I started this blog 2 years ago, I had no idea that there was such a wonderfully supportive mom blogging community. I started writing because I found my passion for natural living when Zoë was born. She was my inspiration to share all of my research and feelings about parenting with other women.
In my original vision for Happy Mothering, my goal was to share well researched information about products that had made my life easier as a natural parent, in a way that was easy for everyone to understand and relate to. I never planned to share so many personal stories about my life or my family, but blogs grow and evolve with people.
My first post was: BPA free baby bottles: Hype or serious concern? It was a much more formal post than how I write today. I have become much more casual and conversational as I have become more confident in my voice.
Over the the last two years, Happy Mothering has become my outlet. My space to come and share my feelings. My experiences. What is going on in my life. It’s a very public journal, and I love it.
If I’m not able to write for a week because I have too much going on, I feel like there is so much emotion inside of me waiting to burst out that I can hardly contain it. As soon as I write a post, I instantly feel better. It’s amazing how a little blog post can do that.
So I want to thank you. Each and every one of my readers. Whether you were here at the beginning, or if this is the first post you’ve read here. Thank you. You make my life a brighter place.
I have a lot more exciting things to come, and I’ll soon be making an announcement about the next phase in the Happy Mothering world. So, stay tuned.
