This post was written by me as a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam, for which I receive a complimentary Netflix subscription (something I would pay for anyways because we love it!). All opinions are my own.
Most of today's teeny bopper shows are full of great entertainment, but lacking in the inspiration department. My girls love to sit and watch all sorts of fun shows on Netflix. However, this month Netflix launched a new show that I can get behind – Project Mc².
Project Mc² is a fresh take on the typical tween girl show you’re probably familiar with. The series has S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) organically woven throughout the storyline, making it fun and breaking the stereotype that being smart, funny, stylish and capable are mutually exclusive. Project Mc² reflects today’s tweens in a relatable way, giving girls four empowered female leads to look up to.
When my girls discovered it, they instantly fell in love. They were so bummed when they realized there are currently only 3 episodes streaming! They keep checking to see if new episodes have been released.
Just watching those 3 episodes has inspired them to want to do a bunch of science experiments. Fortunately Netflix sent over a box full of fun science experiments for them to tinker with.
Zoë got to learn how vinegar can turn pennies green in her science experiment.
