Thank you to Gerolsteiner for sponsoring this post on their upcoming sparkling mineral water detox challenge!
I love a good detox challenge. How about you? If you’re searching for a simple detox challenge to join, I just discovered Gerolsteiner’s Sparkling Detox Challenge, and I’m pretty excited about it.
During this challenge, you’ll be asked to focus on yourself for five days. I know. It’s hard for us moms to focus on ourselves, but we can all do it for 5 days!
During this time, you’ll want to be more aware of what you are eating and drinking, activities you are participating in and what you are doing to relax and relieve stress.
You’ll need to avoid sugary drinks, coffee, tea and alcohol and you should only drink Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water (make sure to get those 8 glasses in!) along with eating a healthy diet.
Over this 5-day period, the goal is for you to learn some simple steps to enjoy a more balanced and healthy lifestyle. The detox challenge will run from September 11 to September 15, 2017.
To get you prepared for your #SparkingDetox, Gerolsteiner is hosting a giveaway, where 300 lucky participants could win one case of Gerolsteiner (16.9 fl. or. BPA-free lightweight plastic bottles). Register by August 28, 2017, and you’ll have the chance to win a free sparkling mineral water supply for your Sparkling Detox
There’s even a Facebook Support Group, where you can get motivational tips from top fitness trainer and nutritionist Ariane Hundt.
Why Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water
I have been a huge fan of sparkling water for years, but I never knew that there was actually a difference between sparkling water brands.
Did you know that natural mineral water is one of the most strictly regulated food and drink products in the world? It requires an internationally recognized official seal of authenticity.
To qualify for this seal, mineral water must be extracted and bottled in its original pure form directly at the location of the underground spring.
Only waters that contain a minimum of 250 mg of mineral content per liter are allowed to be classified as mineral water. Mineral waters that contain at least 500 mg of minerals per liter may carry the extra label of “high mineral content”.
I recently discovered Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water. It’s the world’s No. 1 Sparkling Natural Mineral Water – and for good reason. First off, it tastes amazing. Second, it’s packed with minerals our bodies need.
Gerolsteiner contains 2,500 mg of minerals per liter, and is classified as highly mineralized. Per serving (8 ounces), it contains 84 mg of calcium and 26 mg of magnesium. It’s also high in sodium bicarbonate, which is what balances the taste of the high mineral content.
I was curious to how the mineral levels in Gerolsteiner compare with some of the other bottled waters I buy on occasion. Gerolsteiner actually has a mineral calculator on its website so you can easily compare.
I was shocked by how high the mineral content is in Gerolsteiner compared to Perrier, Evian, Fiji and San Pelligrino.
I discovered another cool fact about Gerolsteiner too. Did you know that while most sparkling water has carbonation added, Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water is naturally carbonated!
From now on, Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water will be my first choice!
