Are you searching for a new album to satisfy your taste in classical music? Check out Shall We Dance, the new album from André Rieu (this post’s sponsor).
I have been a fan of classical music since I was in high school. One of my least favorite teachers actually introduced me to it, so it’s a wonder I fell in so much love with it!
My years in college humanities classes only grew that love as I studied the artists. For years, I listened to classical music when I slept and when I read. I remember reading somewhere that it was really great for your brain.
I recently stumbled upon an artist I hadn’t heard of before – André Rieu. I’ve been listening to his new album – Shall We Dance – while working this week.
Most music distracts me while I’m trying to write. However, I find that André Rieu’s music actually puts me into a bit of a rhythm while I type out all of my thoughts. It’s quite fun!
If you haven’t listened to André Rieu before, you’ll probably find many songs that sound familiar on Shall We Dance. One song you may be familiar with, even if you aren’t a classical music fan, is the Main Theme from the Godfather.
One of my favorite track is Track 2 – An der schönen blauen Donau, Op. 314. For some reason it brings back so many memories sitting in class learning about classical music artists. At the same time it has my fingers tapping in a fun rhythm on my keyboard while I work. Super fun!
Another song I love is Track 9 – Zorba’s Dance. It makes me dream about taking a trip to Europe and soaking up all of the culture! I can picture myself sitting in a cafe watching live entertainment while I listen to Zorba’s Dance. It has my daughter up and dancing around!
There is really a good mix of songs on Shall We Dance! I bet everyone in your house has a different favorite!
