Between my beautiful girls and my blog, I take a lot of photos. Most of them need some sort of editing before they can be shared. Over the past couple of years, I have been using an online photo editor.
Unfortunately, this means I have only been able to edit photos when I have a good internet connection. We spend a lot of time at the dance studio, and I often bring my computer so I can work while the girls are in class. There is no wifi there, so I have to plan ahead to have things to work on where I don't need internet access.
Since I find that editing photos needs less of my focus than writing, I have been searching for an easy and affordable way to edit photos when I don't have an internet connection. I often find myself chatting with other moms at the dance studio – which is awesome – but I can't write and talk at the same time. I can, however, edit photos and talk at the same time.
Best Buy recently introduced me to Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements – programs for editing photos and videos. I took a graphic design class in college and learned how to use Photoshop. I also used it in a couple of my earlier marketing positions, so I was pretty familiar with what it could do.
Adobe Photoshop Elements is basically the “Light” version of Photoshop, which makes it great for beginners and amateur photographers that was to make their pictures look nicer without too much complication. I love editing my photos with Adobe Photoshop Elements.
It's amazing what a difference you can make in just a couple quick minutes.
One of the features I'm really excited about is the ability to remove camera shake from your selfies or clear the haze from landscape shots with the touch of a button! I get shaky sometimes, so being able to correct that on the computer is huge for me.
If you don't trust your own artistic eye, Elements has you covered. The new Guided Edits feature will walk you through the process of creating the ultimate photos and videos! How cool is that? I'm definitely going to have to use that feature with Premiere since I'm total video newbie. Premiere even lets you edit and view high-res 4K movies as well as add animated titles and transitions.
With Elements, you can share lasting memories in scrapbooks and cards that show your personal style. You can even share photos and movies via disc or on Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and more.
Need help organizing your photos? With Adobe Elements you can quickly find and organize photos and videos by your favorite people, or simply search by where you were or what you were doing. I have thousands of photos on my computer, so I love this feature!
