We started the Elf on the Shelf tradition last year, and our Elf – Noki – would literally stay in the same spot for a few days at a time. Even so, the girls had a blast with it, so I decided to continue the tradition this year.
I decided I needed to step it up a notch, so of course I hopped on Pinterest like every diligent mom does to find some great ideas for funny Elfcapades. I made a list of ideas that I thought would be fun – but not too complicated.
When it came down to it this week, I just didn’t have the energy to do anything wildly creative. But, at least the Elf did something new each day. And, I figure it’s better to get more creative as you go rather than the other way around, right?
Without further ado, here are the escapades our Elf got into this week:
The first day, he simply wrote a little note to the girls with Zoë’s school supplies. They were pretty excited he was back.
The next day when the girls got up, Noki was holding the PS3 remote and had the TV remote right next to him. They thought it was pretty funny that he was playing video games while they were sleeping!
The next morning, Noki decided he wanted to play Brian’s Djembe drum, but was having trouble getting up. The girls got a kick out of it even though it was so simple!
On Thursday, Noki finally ventured out of the living room. He decided he wanted to do some acrobatics on our hanging fruit basket. Zoë thought he was stuck.
Then, this morning, the naughty Elf decided to get into my makeup! He put lipstick on his cheeks and nose. I don’t know what he was thinking!
