Avocados have always been one of my favorite foods. I love to cut them in half and sprinkle garlic powder and sea salt over them. Yum!
One of the best ways to enjoy them – in my humble opinion – is on avocado toast! There are so many ways to make avocado toast – on its own, with bacon, with eggs, with tomato slices and more.
When I’m in a hurry, I just spread avocado over gluten free bread on its own and sprinkle it with some everything bagel seasoning. When I have a bit more time, I’ll bake some bacon, fry an egg or slice up a tomato.

How to Make Avocado Toast with Bacon
Ingredients
- 2 slices gluten free bread
- 4 slices cooked bacon I like to bake it and keep some in the fridge for easy access
- 1 avocado
- 1/4 lime juiced
- Sea salt to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Toast your gluten free bread slices to your desired crispness.
- Mash the avocado with the lime juice, garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Cut the bacon slices in half, then place 4 halves on each piece of toast.
- Top with mashed avocado. Garish with cilantro, if desired.
