How to Make a Paper Straw Snowflake Ornament
Supplies
- Christmas themed paper straws
- Glitter in color of your choice (optional)
- Ribbon for hanging
Instructions
- Begin by cutting your straws into smaller segments. About 2 inches in length is ideal.
- Take your fingers and press down the center of each segment. This will make gluing them together easier. Place a dab of glue on the flattened portion of the straw, then place another straw over it and press them together to make an X. Ideally, you want the two flattened portions to match up, right in the center.
- Repeat the process of adding segments. Just add a dab of glue to the center and press. Rotate your straws as you do so the snowflake shape begins to form. You can then glue some glitter onto the ornament if you want to add a little sparkle.
- Once your snowflakes are complete, add a dab of glue to the back and press some ribbon. Tie into a bow for hanging. Your straw snowflake ornaments are now ready to be displayed and enjoyed. Hang them from your tree or window for some wintry fun.
