One of the easiest ways to get your kids to sit down and learn about something is to make it fun! My girls love learning how to cook and bake, so I always like to incorporate snack or meal ideas into our learning projects.
The Lorax is full of so many vibrant colors that they sky is the limit when it comes to making fun snacks to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday! Here are just a couple of The Lorax inspired snack ideas you can use for your Dr. Seuss birthday celebration.
My girls love fruit. I often refer to them as fruit monsters because of how quickly they can go through an entire shopping trip worth of of fruit. So, I though making Truffala trees from fruit would be a fun idea. Taking something that is an everyday thing and renaming it can make it a special treat.
It’s super easy too. Just scoop fresh melon into balls or dice it into small pieces. Then choose some of your child’s other favorite fruits such as bananas, strawberries and grapes. If they’re old enough, you can let them put the fruits on toothpicks or small skewers, or you can prepare it and allow them to enjoy the fun of eating the Truffala fruits.

The Lorax is such a memorable character and he has such a fun look that he makes a great centerpiece for celebrations of The Lorax. As long as your child tolerates dairy well, this is a fun treat.
Cut cheddar cheese into an oval, then cut 4 small sticks for arms and legs. Use a white cheese like provolone or jack to cut a big mustache and eyes for the Lorax. Isn’t he cute?
