Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Groundhog Day, which means we’re supposed to be in for an early spring. I’m seeing the signs of an early spring up here in the mountains. Bunnies and birds are out. Bees are trying to invade my house and we found our first ant this week. No wonder I have had the urge to spring clean!
The bigger my girls get, the more cramped we seem to be in this house and the more organized I feel we need to get. My pantry is a mess. A serious mess. It wasn’t designed well and as soon as I organize it, it’s a mess again.
I keep bulk spices and ingredients in mason jars and Fido jars. Since I’m the one that stocks the jars, I typically know what’s in each jar. My husband and kids, however, don’t always know what’s in each jar. If I don’t mark them, I get lots of questions from them when they’re looking for something in the cabinet.
I was just using a Sharpie and dissolvable labels on the jars. In my effort to get more clean and organized, I wanted something that looked a bit nicer. So I had these pretty printable labels for my jars made. Now I can store all of my bulk spices and ingredients in pretty jars.
Each of the printable labels is 2″ x 2″ and they can be printed on full sticker sheets or card stock. Then you cut them out and apply them. The printable labels are high resolution, so they should print crisp. It’s a good idea to do a test print to make sure before putting the sticker sheet in your printer.
