Preheat the oven to 350˚ F. Roll the pie dough out and press it into your pie pan. You can use your hands to smooth and even it out, then dust lightly with gluten free flour.
How to Make Apple Filling
Add chopped apples to a large bowl and pour lemon juice over them.
Add granulated sugar, brown sugar and gluten free flour to a bowl and mix to combine.
Pour the dry mixture over the slices and mix until all of the slices are evenly coated.
Pour the coated apples into your pie dish, top with 3 pats of butter, then put in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
How to Make Crumble Topping
While that’s baking, add the sugar and flour from the crumble ingredients to a bowl and combine them. Then add the cold butter to the bowl and mix in using a pastry blender or your hands.
Remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle the crumble mixture over the top of the pie.
Put the pie back in the oven and bake uncovered for 20 more minutes or until bubbling and golden brown.
Let your pie cool to room temperature, then slice and serve alone or with ice cream.
