One Day Sweet Pickles
While I love dill pickles, the girls prefer sweet pickles. This is an easy recipe to use if you want to whip up a quick batch as a special treat.

Ingredients

large cucumber
or 3 small pickling cucumbers

apple cider vinegar

cup
granulated sugar
1 ½
tablespoons
sea salt

teaspoon
mustard powder
¼
teaspoon
ground turmeric
Instructions
Thoroughly wash the exterior of your cucumbers, then slice them into uniform, thin rounds.
Loosely pack them in a 1-quart mason jar.
Combine apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard powder and turmeric in a small saucepan on medium-high heat.
Bring to a boil and allow them to cook for 5 more minutes.
Pour the hot liquid over the vegetables in the container.
Seal the mason jar and refrigerate for 24 hours.
Serve and enjoy.
